Tunedge “Love The Music” Scholarship

Tunedge is empowering the next generation of America's youth, music and video professionals. In an effort to serve youth and young adults in a greater capacity, we recently launched our Tunedge 2017 Love The Music Scholarship.
The Tunedge music licensing scholarship provides a $3,000 award for creatives looking to gain knowledge and expertise in EditingVideo ProductionFilmographyDirectingMotion Picture ProductionCommercial Advertising, Music Supervision and those with a passion for pursuing a career in Music ProductionFilmmaking, or Video Editing.
Our Tunedge 2018 "Love The Music" Fall Scholarship opens for submissions beginning September, Fall of 2018 to students enrolled in a 2 to 4-year United States college or university with a background in film, broadcasting, video editing or theatrical major/focus.  The $3,000 scholarship award amount can be applied to help cover tuition costs, books, and associated educational expenses and fees.
Applicants are required to write an original 600+ word essay about the following topic: "How do music licensing/copyright laws affect your online videos? Especially when your videos are monetized."
Submissions require the following:
  1. Write and submit an original 600+ word essay about the above topic
  2. Include a bibliography with research references and source material.
  3. Present your opinion and provide an argument to support or argue against the enforcement of copyright infringement laws.
Deadline for submission is November 1, 2018. The winner will be announced during the 2018 winter semester. To submit an application, send a brief bio and accompanying essay to scholarship@tunedge.com.
General rules
1. Applicants shall submit an original essay.
2. Send the essay and accompanying information to lovethemusic@tunedge.com
3. By submitting an application, you acknowledge that Tunedge Music Services will own all rights to publish, distribute and promote the essay.
4. By submitting an application, you grant Tunedge Music Services the right to use your name, biographical information, and photograph for marketing and other purposes.
5. The winners will be chosen by a selection committee. The decisions of the committee are final.
6. By participating in the scholarship contest, applicants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tunedge Music Services, it's members, officers, directors, and employees against any and all liability and costs associated with the contest or the acceptance or use of prizes.
7. **Video submissions are welcomed and encouraged, but will not be approved without an attached written transcript and accompanying bibliography.**
