Brandon D'Amore
CEO
Brandon D’Amore is a musician and a composer whose found a
permanent home in the world of digital audio production. He was
fortunate to be on the scene when rudimentary digital recording
and editing was just becoming a reality on large systems such as
the Synclavier. Throughout the 1980’s, he not only rode the wave
of recording and music technology but also participated in its
development. While working for various studios in New York, he
became a beta tester for New England Digital’s, developing their
line of equipment starting with Post Pro. His experience
utilizing the equipment writing music for commercial and
television production resulted in modifications that were
incorporated into the device.
Mr. D’Amore’s virtuosity with the Post Pro eventually took him
to Los Angeles to adapt a Synclavier purchased by AVC into a
machine that could make radio programs. A number of hurdles had
to be overcome, but in the end, he delivered radio’s first
all-digital show, "American Top 40". The technology allowed ABC
to make custom versions of the show for various markets and
clients, increasing revenues without additional costs.
When ABC moved their production facilities to Dallas, D’Amore
took over the studios and created his own company, Brandon
D’Amore Productions (BDP). The studio continues to produce
syndicated programs including "The World Chart Show" which is
broadcast on hundreds of top radio stations in over 45
countries. In addition, he has focused his own considerable
musical talents composing production music packages for use by
radio and TV stations around the world. His two current
libraries, "Invasion" and "Supercharger" contain over 2,500
music compositions and sound effects and are utilized by over
350 stations in 23 countries.
Mr. D’Amore’s latest project, with partner Rod West, is
"TunEdge", a music/sounder library that addresses the unique
needs of television production. The library will be released in
April ’99 at MIP – TV, the international television production
market held annually in Cannes, France. Mr. D’Amore also
oversees the weekly production of "American Top 40 with Casey
Kasem" and the "World Chart Show". Paramount, Warner Bros., MGM,
ABC among others are regular clients.
All these projects can be traced back to a childhood fascination
with production which led him to set up his first studio at age
17 producing music for "Lifestyles of the rich and Famous" and
commercials for local businesses such as the Fireside Deli and
the Tri-State Chevy dealers.
Rod West
COO
Rod West started his broadcast career as a teen
in his hometown of Grand Rapids, MI when he built a radio
station in his high school. This began a series of successful
positions at WPRO/Providence, WHTT/Boston, Z-100/New York, and
KIIS/Los Angeles.
Mr. West was the General Manager of ABC Watermark, the
entertainment syndication division of ABC Radio Networks. In
this role, Rod oversaw the production of two giants in the world
of syndication: "American Top 40" and American Country
Countdown" which still hold the records as the longest
running, highest revenue producing syndicated programs. Rod was
also responsible at ABC for four other national weekly programs
and created and produced over 50 special products to extend the
revenue potential of these program franchises. They include
"The Rolling Stones Special" and the 50-hour-"History of Rock
and Roll".
With an investment from two liver transplant doctors, Rod and
host Blair Garner created After Midnite, the syndicated
overnight country radio show, which, after three years and over
250 stations, was sold to Clear Channel.
He currently is a partner in TunEdge, a music production company
serving television and radio stations worldwide.
